Kevon Looney

Kevon Looney is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins and was selected by the Warriors with the 30th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft. Since entering the league, he has developed into a reliable frontcourt player and a key contributor to four NBA championship teams (2017, 2018, 2022, 2023).

Standing at 6 feet 9 inches (2.06 m) and weighing 222 pounds (101 kg), Looney primarily plays as a power forward and center. Known for his rebounding, defensive versatility, and high basketball IQ, he has been an integral component of the Warriors' small-ball rotations. His ability to switch onto perimeter players and protect the defensive glass makes him a valuable asset in modern lineups.

Before entering the NBA, Looney enjoyed a standout career at UCLA. As a freshman in 2014–15, he averaged 11.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game, earning All-Pac-12 Third Team honors. In the 2019 NBA Finals, he suffered a fractured collarbone in Game 2 but returned for Game 4 to help the Warriors compete. In the 2022 playoffs, he delivered a career-defining performance in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Memphis Grizzlies, grabbing a career-high 22 rebounds (including 11 offensive boards) to secure a series victory. During the 2022–23 season, he played all 82 regular-season games and led the league in offensive rebounding rate among qualified centers.
